Worship is an integral part of our life together in community at UBC.

We gather every Sunday morning at 10:30 in our sanctuary to offer praise and adoration to God, to read the Scriptures together, to voice our prayers and present our offerings, to share communion with God and each other, and to listen for how the writings of ancient Israel and the early church intersect with our lives in 21st century Columbus.

Our service is both informal and liturgical. We observe the seasons of the church year, such as Advent, Lent, Easter, and Ordinary Time. We have a deep and long-standing commitment to high-quality choral, solo, and instrumental music, and we are fortunate to have an accomplished musician, singer, and composer, David Tomasacci, as our music director. At the same time, as Baptists from the “free church” tradition, we seek to leave room for the movement of the Spirit and are willing to incorporate more contemporary and informal elements in our worship.

Sunday mornings at UBC are characterized by a warm, friendly atmosphere in which we give reverence to God without taking ourselves too seriously.
